This limited-edition nail head pendant combines a traditional type of stone setting with a piece of American history. The 1790s-1820s square cut iron nail in this piece is among the first made with machine assistance, and is from the slowly-collapsing barn on my dad’s property in Brooks, ME. I am delighted to use this in my work as a nod to my past specifically and the past of American manufacturing in general.
