Lauren started her traditional goldsmithing studies at The North Bennet Street School in Boston. Shortly after, she attended Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco where she focused on professional goldsmithing, diamond setting, along with basic hand engraving techniques. After working in the industry and graduating from from the bench jeweler program with Alan Revere, Lauren attended the GRS School in Emporia, Kansas, for advanced hand engraving classes.With her newly improved skill set, Lauren began designing and fabricating her own collection of fine jewelry including custom wedding and engagement rings.
Lauren is dedicated to following the highest ethical standards in her jewelry practice including using only recycled metals or fair-mined gold, selecting only conflict-free and ethically-mined diamonds (mostly sourced from Canada) as well as selecting American-mined sapphires for her pieces.
Lauren runs her own studio and shop, Quercus, in Raleigh, N.C. where she takes pride in helping educate consumers on the importance of sustainable and environmental practices in the jewelry industry.
