Hirotaka began in 2010 with a small trunk show in Soho, New York. His inspiration stems from his insatiable fascination with the strange shapes he encounters at the crossroads where Eastern and Western winds meet, as well as the remarkable yet peculiar beauty of the flora and fauna that thrive in tropical forests. He proposes a chic style that strips these elements down to a more abstract, urbane aesthetic.
Hirotaka’s design process is highly organic, with every creation beginning as a hand-drawn sketch. All pieces are handmade by skilled artisans in Japan, ensuring exceptional attention to detail and reflecting a refined, abstract, and minimal Japanese aesthetic.
