Giovanna’s contemporary jewelry is an exploration of dynamic structures and materials. Vintage gelatin sequins that she has collected and preserved for almost twenty years are at the core of her collections. Each piece allows continuous, colorful movement with translucent and metallic highlights. This year’s work also includes horsehair pieces, inspired by the violin bow, that experiment with tactility and tension. Each collection, featuring limited edition and one-of-a-kind pieces, is designed and hand-crafted in Giovanna’s Oakland, California studio.
