ANCIENT / RENEWED
The Loux Collection
March 20th - April 3rd, 2026
SHIBUMI presents ANCIENT/RENEWED, The Loux Collection, beads, objects, textiles and jewelry from old-world civilizations.
Joe Loux has been an antique dealer and longtime source of inspiration for April Higashi Jewelry for many years. April has always been drawn to his remarkable collection of older beads, which with daily wear and the passage of time, make some of the most exquisite one of a kind pieces.
His collection includes ancient coral, jade, chalcedony, agate, bone, and more. With a contemporary eye and perspective, these beads can been refreshed with the subtle addition of an updated clasp, a change of length or by adding a more contemporary detail. These changes can bridge the traditional and the modern, creating pieces that feel timeless and wearable.
