Process: This extraordinary piece was designed for a client who, while traveling in Scotland, discovered this beautifully carved whale bone. It had washed ashore at the local beach and was naturally weathered by the sea & sun.
Suspended from a long, substantial silver chain, she wanted to wear it as a reminder of its origins, and as a touchstone she could reach for throughout her day, representing the characteristics of being soft, strong, and solid all at the same time.
