Custom Leather Poem Book with Engravings
Process: This client came in with a very clear vision: a leather book with a poem engraved in a warm-toned metal, in both English and Japanese. As a jewelry studio, this was a fun project because it was slightly outside our usual wheelhouse. We considered having the leatherwork done by a professional, but the client wanted a rustic feel, and Claudia’s experience with leatherwork from her days as a blacksmith made her the perfect person to take it on. With the help of an outside engraver and many, many hours of work, we brought this beautifully crafted piece to life.
