SHIBUMI presents Glimmer: Modern Fine Jewelry, featuring the work of artists Ruth Tomlinson and Tura Sugden. 

Both accomplished women in the world of jewelry, these two visionaries blend influences of old world goldsmithing and contemporary luxury, creating future heirlooms. While their aesthetics contrast each other, predominantly with Tura's clean lines versus Ruth's organic textures, both convey a timelessness to be appreciated for years to com.

RUTH TOMLINSON creates luxury fine jewelry in her London studio, known for its poetic beauty and reverence for materials with hidden histories. Alongside her collections, Ruth also specializes in one-of-a-kind commissions, often reimagining unworn and sentimental jewelry into pieces to be cherished. Her work is inspired by nature's small wonders, imperfections, and the mystery of time, celebrating the preciousness and impermanence of life.

TURA SUGDEN began her collection in 2013 in her San Francisco Atelier. Her work features intricate, refined settings and compositions, blending traditional techniques with contemporary design. Specializing in both small-batch production and one-of-a-kind pieces, Tura Sugden uses recycled 18k gold, natural and ethical diamonds, and a distinctive approach to stone setting. Feminine and airy, her work has a quiet palette and detailed construction that is inspired by light, shadow, and the changing seasons.
