Some people are drawn into the wilderness, to the margins of the world, enchanted by the diversity and unbounded creativity of natural forces. Lisa Ziff is one such explorer. She’s a curious and keen observer of the living and the physical worlds whose work evokes a variety of geological, zoological and botanical forms: tentacles, spines, and shells; buds, carapaces and clouds; petals, pebbles and watercourses. Working from a unique texture or a microscopic close-up, Lisa carves magical worlds inspired by nature in her jewelry. The wild--the natural world--we feel is the most powerful inspiration anyone can pull from.

LISA ZIFF has a background in industrial design, which helps her approach jewelry from a sculptor’s point of view with an eye toward natural, organic forms. Her father was a former Biology teacher and entomologist, and his fascination and affection for flora and fauna continue to inspire her work.
Lisa carves and creates each original piece in her studio in Los Angeles where she lives with her husband and occasionally her three college-aged kids. The result is a handmade line that is uniquely sensuous, easy to wear, and evokes simple, everyday beauty.
